Manchester consumer agency, Brazen, now in its 23rd year, has become employee owned following in the footsteps of a growing line of PR, marketing and communications agencies.
Brands2Life, RocketMill, Tangerine, Babel, With and Napier have all made the change in the last 24-months.
On the latter, you can watch Mike Maynard from Napier talking about his reasons for changing Napier to an EOT in the video below.
As for Brazen, the agency’s LinkedIn post suggests: “our Owners & Founders, Nina & Tom, have made a true legacy move and sold the business to the team through an Employee Ownership Trust, Brazen (EOT) Ltd!”
Although, reading coverage elsewhere it suggests it won’t be an immediate exit for the owners who will continue as CEO and Operations Director for the foreseeable future.
How many of the owner’s shares has been sold to the EOT have not been made public.
